Im confused about the process for the ordering and shipping of this barrel. I paid for the pre-order months ago, got the email that the barrels were in the shop and I went ahead and paid the remainder. I got an email saying that its now on back order? Is this normal? I recall the initial pre-order stated that the payment in full would be taken 2 weeks before shipment. Is that how its still working or is there an issue? Ive reached out a few different ways and Im hopeful I can get in contact with you here. Thanks in advance!
Barrel pre-orders and availability
If you bought a barrel on pre-order in the recent past, and you received the email on June 1st saying that the barrels were "available now, finalize your purchase" please know that this was an automatic email the store generated on the given date.
The status of availability is this: We were told when we originally posted them for pre-order, "no problem, we'll have them to you by the end of May" As of last week, they are now saying the end of this month(June). The barrel maker is a large and trust-worthy company that we have bought 100s of barrels from so we expect this delay is related to the wonderful state our country's labor force is in at the moment.
Here's what we can do: If you pre-ordered and HAVEN'T finalized payment, that's fine, and you can wait to finalize payment until we send out another email saying they are ready to ship.
If you pre-ordered, and HAVE finalized payment, then you can either sit tight and as soon as we get them, we'll do our checks on them and ship them to you or you can tell us you don't want to wait and we can issue a refund of your order and you can try again some other time or with another company.
If you haven't purchased one yet at all or were about to, you may do so, just please realize the situation above, and that you will get your barrel if you order before the "in-stock" goes away. We only made available to purchase, the number that we could order at a time.
When might we do this again? It'll probably be 3-6 months depending on estimated demand and then the barrel maker says it'll be 6-8 months after we place our next order, that we will get any more.
I hope that everyone shows some understanding for the issues the industry is experiencing and know that for SmgGunsStore at least, if you ever want to "Get my money back!" you can, as long as you are ok with loosing your spot in line.

Some folks are having an issue that when they try to finalize payment, the system is not taking the $100 deposit into account. If this occurs, let us know through the messaging option in your order history and we will refund you the overage. Sorry about this, but we can't seem to figure out why it's happening to about 10% of the customers.
We received a notification today from the barrel maker. The barrels are in the chrome plating process. They have said another 3 weeks before delivery. This puts us into the 3rd week of July. WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THIS!!! IF YOU WISH TO GET A REFUND, PLEASE LET US KNOW AND WE WILL ISSUE ONE, OTHERWISE YOU WILL HAVE TO BE PATIENT AS ALL OF THE MANUFACTURER'S WE DEAL WITH ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MATERIALS AND LABOR SHORTAGES.
Yes, we are only waiting on the barrel maker. They have said that the order total will not change so we will be able to fill all orders once they arrive. Thanks.
We received LTL tracking info last Friday so it should be any day now. Once we receive them, we will 100% inspect them to make sure they are correct and then start shipping them out.
We are boxing the "in-the-white" barrels today and so some of you will start to see your deposits refunded if it was needed and your accounts being updated with tracking numbers.
We will begin installing gas blocks next week and blueing after we finish all barrels. Probably the following week.
IF YOU HAVE NOT SENT IN YOUR GAS BLOCK TO BE INSTALLED, PLEASE DO SO ASAP!!!
Hello, I’ve been trying to finalize my payment on the pre-order process for the RP46 heavy barrel “package” for a few weeks now, and the website is not letting me complete the process either by phone or laptop, and separately the $100 already paid is not being removed either. I’ve sent numerous emails and messages with absolutely zero response other than the automated email back saying someone will reach out. At this point I’d just write a check, but apparently you don’t accept any singular payment by check over $100. Pretty frustrating experience overall. But I guess you have my email and phone number so whenever you get your house in order, you can reach out to me to finalize everything. Thanks!
Hello all. I'm sorry I haven't been answering emails or forum posts, I had an out of state emergency and I was gone for a month. Everyone that paid, will have a tracking number today. Mr. Kempen, I'll look into your issue now, but so you know, you can finalize payment with a cashier's check or money order.
