After an even longer hiatus from our ZB offerings than the Brens, we are happy to say that we are offering to build the ZB variants again.  We are going to offer a number of options and a few of them are based on if you have a de-milled barrel or not.  At the moment, we do not have any caliber restrictions so we will attempt to build whatever you have if we can get ammunition for it.  The for sure calibers are: 8mm Mauser and 8x56r.  If we start running into issues, we'll let you know. A single build can take a week and a half for one ZB so as these come in, the completion date gets pushed back for each new build.  If you're worried about how long it will take, please contact us before purchasing to get a better understanding of the time frame involved.  At times, we may have complete guns for sale, and if that is the case, you may be given the option to receive that gun in place of your kit.

PLEASE READ AND BE ABSOLUTELY SURE OF THE OPTION YOU NEED BEFORE MAKING YOUR PURCHASE. To avoid confusion, please send pictures of your kit to sales@smggunsstore.com so we can let you know which option to buy.

Also please understand that if you make a purchase now(2nd week of July 2026), it will be January 2027 before we start your build group, and then 3 to 6 months before your rifle is completed with our current backlog.

De-milled Barrel Kit owners:  Currently, we are looking into having barrels made but the barrel maker has a minimum order thresh-hold.  IF you have a kit with a cut/de-milled barrel, please pick the option below that says "New US made barrel" in the description.  It will show to be "out of stock" and you can sign up your email to show that you want this option.  Based on the email sign ups, we will gauge interest to see if we can justify having the barrels made.

Option 1) ZB26 kit with a usable cut receiver with a good, live barrel & new US made by SMG compliance parts:

Your usable cut receiver will be reconstructed in semi-auto only configuration, all of the original parts will be modified as necessary for proper fit and function.  The rifle will be hot blued, test fired and shipped in a plastic gun case. Your kit must have a good live barrel for this option.  For 922(r) compliance parts count, a new US made walnut pistol grip will be stained, sealed and installed on your rifle along with US made trigger, sear, dis-connector, striker/hammer, & flash cone/booster.

Option 2) ZB30 kit with a usable cut receiver with a good, live barrel & new US made by SMG compliance parts:

Your usable cut receiver will be reconstructed in semi-auto only configuration, all of the original parts will be modified as necessary for proper fit and function.  The rifle will be hot blued, test fired and shipped in a plastic gun case. Your kit must have a good live barrel for this option.  For 922(r) compliance parts count, a new US made walnut pistol grip will be stained, sealed and installed on your rifle along with US made trigger, sear, dis-connector, striker/hammer, & flash cone/booster.

Option 3) ZB30J kit with a usable cut receiver with a good, live barrel & new US made by SMG compliance parts:

If you live in a communist state(California, Massachusetts, etc) Please know your laws and let us know about any magazine restrictions, grip modifications, etc. that may be needed BEFORE you purchase to make sure that we can accommodate you.  The Bren communist state add-on will work for the ZB's also.
